- A mucolytic agent used for the relief of cough secondary to acute and chronic diseases of the respiratory tract accompanied by excessive lung secretions such as chronic bronchitis, asthmatic bronchitis, and bronchial asthma.
- For children 1-2 years old: 1/2 teaspoonful every 12 hours. 3-6 years old: 1/2 teaspoonful every 8 hours. 7-12 years old: 1 teaspoonful every 8 hours. For children and adults above 12 years old: 2 teaspoonfuls every 8 hours, or as recommended by a doctor.
- Should be taken with food. Take it immediately after meals.
- Each 5ml (1 teaspoon) forte syrup contains 30mg of Ambroxol (as hydrochloride).
