- Used in the treatment of megaloblastic anemias which may result from malabsorption syndromes such as sprue, idiopathic steatorrhea, celiac disease, intestinal reticulosis, regional jejunitis, jejunal diverticulosis, blind loop syndrome, and gastroenterostomy.

- May be taken with or without food.
